WEEK7

• Fusion 360 Model in paper

the scale of the model is 1:100

the model was made by sketch paper which is thicker than normal a4 print paper.

•  Photograph of the Fusion 360 Model in paper

• Iterative Model with an additional source of natural light at a new scale.

Developed the plan drawing with wall thickness and indicated the windows and exterior wall
I made the model with larger scale in 1:25 which allow me to make the interior facilities.

I found that different orientation of the thresholds allow the light enter different space and do not effect other room.

From this experiment, i found that the light effect would change when I imitate the natural light. it would be helpful to consider this into the room design, use the natural light effectively to adjust living habits

Finally, I apply what i experimented so far to my room design development.

• change the design the window. Add an opaque window and the shape can be change allow to create some interesting effect.
• change the roof of the room. The roof is divided into two parts, the roof for the bathroom is higher to create some thresholds, allow the natural light enter the bathroom room directly, but do not influence the effect for sleeping space.
• create some openings at the bottom and the top of the exterior wall. the light effect change as the time going, remind me the on time schedule.

Week5 & Week6

This model was made by paper to show the space for my room. paper is soft and not really stable.
the model scale is 1:50

The second space model was made by card paper which is thicker than paper (i don't have cardboard at home), i think the thicker material is more stable and easy to glue.
